I’ll still watch F1, but in 2015 the most enjoyable motorsports to watch were MotoGP and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. WEC stuff is really cool to watch, and they’re pretty good at putting up short highlights and extended highlights for each race on YouTube.
The thing about F1: it will never be what it was before. It's a sad truth, but one people need to understand.

Yeah the WEC is awesome, I like the diversity in it, but if there’s one thing I want to see changed in F1, it’s the tires. All it is now is tire management and noone is ever on a level playing field because tire strategy is so important in the race now.

Funny, I remember back then how people said it was boring, neutered, wasn’t like the old days, etc...

Yup. I think once the new veneer of these Pirellis wore off people started to see the gimmick they were. I think it was one Canadian GP that caused them to shift to these weak tyres since we had one GP with many stops, and under those circumstances it was exciting. Now we have talk of Pirelli artificially making the tires worse to hit a certain number of stops.
It’d be nice to have tires that people can push on again, or at least give the teams free tire choice so that the drivers can really push it to the limit again.
Also, I really hate the fact that the F1 calendar was made with a GP on the Le Mans weekend. Seeing Hulkenberg part of the winning crew was fantastic to see, and I'd love to see more F1 drivers actually take part in this epic race.

Yeah kind of like in the old days when they would race in Formula 2 and stuff, would definitely be cool to see them in other race cars to see how they compare.

Hehe. The older you get, the more times you’ll hear people saying just the same stuff - every season, it seems :)

you mean the days of ABS and race-calibrated traction control making the driver less of a factor than today’s cars?

Back then Ferrari won everything, was nice to see Alonso winning.

Dunno, I was never an Alonso fan. As far as I’m concerned his only really outstanding talent is an ability to persuade people that the fastest car on the grid is a loser.

If that gives me more of what I’m seeing, yes, actually.

All I know is that Formula 1 driver in the video is driving like someone threatened to kill his dog watching from the stands if he didn’t have the fastest lap that day. He went in hard! :P
